Add and Manage Notes in Your Directory

How Can Notes Help Your Church?

Notes can serve any purpose you have to keep unique and specific information about people within your Directory. Some note examples include:

  • A member’s favorite food or sports team for later conversation topics 
  • Conversation highlights you had with a visitor
  • Helpful notes for a volunteer who is assigned to care for specific members of the church

It is completely up to you and is super easy to use!

Where Can I Find Notes?

Once you are logged into your website as an admin, choose “People” from the Admin menu (black navigation bar on the left-hand side). Simply click on the name of the person you want to add or edit a note to bring up their contact information.

Add a Note

You will find the “Notes” tab just to the right of the “Profile” tab. From there, click “Add A Note” on the right-hand side to begin.

A simple text editing form will show up with a place to type the Note Title in the top field and the note content in the “Type something” box. This is a simple text editor, so feel free to use bold, underline, or even create a link. You can also insert images and videos.

Once you have finished your note, click Save. Your note will now be listed on the Notes page with the name of the person who created the note and a timestamp for when the note was added.

Need more than one note? 

You can add as many notes as you need. Notes also has a feature where you or other website administrators can comment on a note. You will see “add comment” on the bottom right of the note. 

Notes can only be added, viewed, or commented on by website administrators. Notes are not public to your Directory members.
