Page Settings: Options for Managing Your Website

Every page in your website is essential. Using the "Page Settings" feature, you have more tools at your fingertips to impact your members and website guests.

When you are logged-in to your website, click on any page. Under the page title in the header, you will see the button to access your page settings. Below is a brief outline of what the Page Settings area entails.

SECURITY

There are times when you may want to create a password protected page (member page, training documents, etc.). Any page in your ChurchSpring website can have the added protection of a password when setup through the Page Settings.

SEO WEBSITE CONTENT OPTIMIZATION

Your website already has basic SEO built-in. The default is shown when you open the SEO tab within the Page Settings area. But since browsers index by page, you can make your SEO even stronger by adding relevant phrases. Consider the types of phrases that someone may type into their search engine, and then add that phrase in the description area. List the keywords from that page, or more importantly the repetitive keywords that you have repeated throughout your website pages.

SOCIAL IMAGE

Sending a sermon, blog, or event link to Facebook, Twitter, or even through email will increase traffic to your website pages. The social media buttons located on the left side of your individual sermons, blogs, or event pages make sending that link super easy! And within the Page Settings>Social Image tab, you can set the image that appears with that link in Facebook or Twitter.

CUSTOM CODE

The Custom Code tab of the Page Settings is where you will place 3rd party code for things such as chat or a newsletter sign-up window (to name just two of many options out there). Any global code will need to be placed in the website Settings>Website>Google Analytics.

GROUPS PAGES: PAGE CONTENT

Website pages that use the Groups page template will display an extra tab in the Page Settings called "Page Content." The Page Content area is for tags that will identify the exact groups that should be displayed on a front-facing page.
