How To Create A Photo Gallery
What One Thing Makes Your ChurchSpring Website
Even More Engaging?
Photos of the events and people in your ministry!
Your site visitors want to know what makes your church unique... and a photo gallery can show them.
Where can I add a Photo Gallery to my ChurchSpring site?
The photo gallery template is a Blocks feature that can be used on any page within your site. (If you have never added a block before, you will want to read THIS help article.) Choose your page location, and just click the "Add Block" icon and select the gallery template!
How do I add images to the Photo Gallery?
Once you click the gallery template, your initial view is very basic. You will see this...
The placeholder text will allow you to title your group of images and write a description of the event. Just click the pencil editing icon to get started. Once you have updated the text, click the "Add A Photo" button to start adding images.
When you click on "Select Image," you will be taken to your ChurchSpring Library. Here you can choose to upload a new photo from your computer or to add a current photo from your ChurchSpring image library. Once you choose your photo, be sure to caption it so that your viewers can know more about the image. When you are done, click "SAVE." You will add one photo at a time. As the photos are added, they will be placed in the gallery as identical in size...
To see the full image, simply click on the image and the system will expand it plus show you the caption!
- Some people in my church are hesitant to allow photos of themselves on the internet... what should I do? It is important to be aware of the people in your congregation who do not want their photos on the world wide web. You can exercise caution by having people sign a Photo Release Form before you post their picture on your church website - especially if there are any children in the image!
- I am trying to add a photo gallery page under our events tab - but I don't see where I get the option to add a block of any kind. Since the Photo Gallery is a Blocks feature, you must first start with a page. Once you select "New Page," you can then select the Blank Template option, and build your photo gallery within that page.
